Office Girl

I'm breaking the hiatus. I've been gone for quite some time. :)

So many things have happened since my last blog post here. September was a critical but blessed month for me. I have been accepted to work for UP Diliman's College of Engineering Library II, one of the best IT and academic libraries in the country, as an information specialist. Like what I have mentioned before (prolly in Facebook), "I now have my first job at one of the finest institutions in the country.. I'm so lucky!"

Today was my first official work day but last week, I've already rendered some hours for training and phase-in/turnover. I currently assume the role of a reference librarian and marketing head at EnggLib2. So far, I am loving the job. It is service-oriented, which I think, suits me very finely. I am naturally a talkative, mapapel kind of person (hehe) so I like it that I was put at a section where people would come to me and depend on me for answers. 'Di ba? Mapapel lang. Haha. I remember one friend called me control-freak. It is known.

Anyway, my work is from 9am until 6pm. I temporarily stopped tutoring at RareJob because I don't have a computer desk/dresser yet and I don't want to teach with my laptop on the floor. As soon as I get that dresser, I'll be able to tutor again at night. I still need to buy a lot of things for my new room.

Yes, that's another update. I went back to my old boarding house but rented a separate room instead of joining Kikiam again at our previous space. Remember Smile, my uncle's condo unit which he let me use for some months? I left it last week cos it's inconvenient for me to commute daily if I stay there.

So yeah, in the coming weeks I have to buy a dresser/computer desk, an office chair, a double-decked bed and sooooo many other things for my new room and workstation. I hope it rains cash.
